People from all around the world flock to sites that are spoken about with great reverence by people who believe they hold especially strong spiritual powers. These sacred places are called vortexes, and they are said to have high concentrations of mystical energy, and are places where people experience life-changing spiritual awakenings. What are these vortexes, and what powers do they hold? Join SpiritualBlossom as we unlock the secrets of some of the earth’s most powerful vortexes and learn all about how the high vibrations of these mystical places can help you as you walk your own path.
What’s a Vortex?
Vortexes are places that have especially high concentrations of positive spiritual energy, and some people believe these are sacred spaces where people can more easily receive simple spiritual messages or even spiritual enlightenment. It is believed vortexes are connected by pathways called ley lines, and that perhaps ancient aliens used the sites as places where they visited when they came to earth.
Vortexes are basically described as energy centers that create spiritual changes. People report feeling greater senses of peace and more spiritual epiphanies at vortexes. Some especially holy sites are built on what people consider to be vortexes, and some say the holy power was there before the places of worship were. Some people say that vortexes have an unusual energy, and others say it is just earth power in especially high concentrations. A vortex is a place where people report feeling a variety of different things including tingling throughout the body, temperature changes, an immediate sense of complete peace, mental clarity, and a renewal of their strength. Some people reach sudden deep spiritual understanding, a feeling of spiritual wholeness, feeling at one with the rest of creation, and some people even feel their health is completely rejuvenated.
How Do Vortexes Work?
The way vortexes make all these amazing spiritual experiences happen is through their extra potent energy. The direction this energy moves is also what makes it so powerful. It is believed vortexes have upward spiraling energy that moves very quickly. It is debated whether the energy moves up from beneath the ground, or if it comes from somewhere else. Some people believe you must find a vortex, and others believe you can do magic to create a vortex anywhere you want to. Some people believe the earth holds great power for enlightenment and healing, and all you have to do is arrive at a vortex and this energy will naturally present itself to you.
Where are Famous Vortexes?
There are vortexes everywhere all over the world, and new ones are being discovered regularly. They exist on every continent, and some are beneath the ocean. You might have traveled somewhere that has a powerful vortex, but if you haven’t, you can always go in the future. Some especially famous vortexes are in Arizona, Egypt, England, Chile, and Hawaii.
Sedona, Arizona
Sedona occupies only 19.2 square miles, and it became known for peach and apple orchards after European immigrants settled there in the 1870’s. Long before that, up to 10,000 years ago, indigenous American Indians lived there in caves and cliff dwellings, and the Hopi accomplished what seemed impossible by successfully raising farms with less that 20 inches of rainfall annually. About 500 years ago, the last indigenous people left, and Sedona was later found by the Spanish in 1583. By 1902, Sedona had its own postal service, and people kept moving in and there are over 10,000 people residing there today.
It’s not a coincidence that there are a lot of psychic and new age centers in Sedona because it is one of the most famous energy vortexes on earth. Some people believe the vortex allows for better communication with spirits, so many visit psychic mediums in Sedona. It’s not that Sedona was founded as a psychic oasis in the desert it occupies, but it certainly has become just that. There are countless psychics in business who can be consulted, and many shops offer classes and merchandise as well as readings. Spiritual retreats can be booked, and guided meditations at Sedona’s red canyons are very popular.
The Great Pyramid in Giza, Egypt
Built in the 26th century BCE for about 27 years, the pyramid is the burial place of the pharaoh Khufu and his family, but a cemetery, and other pyramids are on the site as well. Multiple chambers in the pyramid have been found during modern exploration, and over 55 million tons of limestone were used to make this massive structure. The limestone was transported by boat across the Nile from the Tura quarries about 6 miles away, and granite from over 500 miles away in Aswan was built into the pyramid as well. It has been noted by researchers that the measurements are so perfect, skilled builders were involved in building the pyramid, not just slave labor as some assume.
There is debate about whether the Great Pyramid and other structures there created the vortex somehow, or if the structures were deliberately placed where people knew there was a vortex. Tours are given to the public through an entry called the Robbers Tunnel today. Some say this was carved out soon after the pyramid was originally sealed so thieves could pilfer grave goods. Some researchers claim the pyramid has the ability to concentrate electromagnetic energy in its chambers and at its base. Multiple tours can be joined so you can experience the power at the Giza pyramid yourself , but if you can’t get to Giza to tour the pyramid in person, you can watch this video someone who took a tour was nice enough to share here: Full tour inside the Great Pyramid of Giza | Pyramid of Cheops aka Khufu | Trip to Kairo, Egypt 2021 - YouTube
Stonehenge
Standing on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, England, Stonehenge has enchanted people for centuries. Perhaps the most amazing thing about it is that it took about 1,500 years for it to be finished because it was built and reconstructed more than once. Some of the stones used to construct it come from over 200 miles away, and researchers are not completely sure how the people hauled those stones all that way. Over a million people visit Stonehenge each year, which probably got its start as a cemetery. Somewhere during the past 1,500 years or so, the structure was developed to watch astronomical events, but as long as 10,000 years ago, the area was used for hunting and about 3,000 pits, some of which were used ceremonially, have been found in the area.
Some people say aliens, or even the sorcerer named Merlin built Stonehenge because they believe that mere humans could not possibly work with such large, heavy stones. There is documentation about the construction of the pyramids at Giza that prove that ancient people were quite capable of doing their own construction even though we don’t know exactly how they did. The Summer Solstice sunrise is marked by a position in one of the stones and signs of injury and illness in some of the remains at Stonehenge lead some people to believe Stonehenge was a place of healing.
Easter Island
Now a territory in Chile, Easter Island was originally inhabited by indigenous Polynesian people, who still make up over half of the population of the island today. It is famous for its massive statues, which are carved from rock. Part of the statues are underground, which leads some people to believe the statues are just giant carvings of heads, but they have their own bodies, minus legs beneath the soil. The statues are called moai and they are the living faces of the ancestors who have been deified. Some say it is a mystery how people without modern cranes and trucks could move the heavy stones from the quarry 11 miles away, especially since some of the statues weigh over 80 tons. It has been discovered the people had their own ways of moving heavy things with platforms called ahu.
It is not known if it is the moai or the island itself that has created the vortex, but some people say the type of rock they are carved from is what holds the power. The stone is called volcanic tuff, which is solidified volcanic ash, and some people believe the dormant volcano on the island called Rano Kau created the vortex. At least ten of the moai have been removed from the island and are on display in museums around the world. If the moai created the vortex, through the power of the ancestors, then that power will be present wherever the moai go.
Maui, Hawaii
Some people believe the entire area of Maui is a vortex, but other people say some areas are more powerful than others. One of these places is Haleakala Volcano. Now situated in a 122-kilometer National Park, the name means “house of the sun” and is believed by indigenous people to be the home of the god who the island was named after, Maui, and his grandmother. The volcano has erupted 10 times in the last millennium, and some people say all this volcanic activity has created the vortex. Others say it is because of its elevation, clear still air, and absence of light pollution hat this is a vortex. Some people believe the presence of some species of plants and animals that have been found nowhere else on earth is further evidence this is a powerful vortex.
Many will visit Haleakala to see the sunrise, believing this is the best time to benefit from the spiritual power of this vortex. It is believed by some the island represents the human body, with there being a site to correspond with each of the chakras. Some people will visit each of the vortex sites on the island in the belief that by doing so, they will cleanse and balance all of their chakras. Haleakala is connected by these believers to the solar plexus chakra. This chakra is connected to your identity and self-esteem, but also your willpower. There is only one way to find out if Maui can balance all your chakras at the vortexes, and that is by visiting to see for yourself.
Are Vortexes Real?
Various researchers swear that vortexes are real centers of spiritual power. In Sedona, juniper trees sometimes grow bent and twisted, and some people take that to be evidence of the powerful swirling of the vortex. Pete Sanders, of the Free Soul Psychic Education Program attributes the spiritual power of Sedona to the high elevations, low population, bright blue skies and red orange canyons as naturally promoting stress relief and relaxation. Some people say this is all a hoax, and the earth does not emit spiritual power, but those who believe in the power of vortexes dismiss the naysayers as people who are too closed minded to experience the energy. Other people don’t deny vortexes, but they say there is sacred power on earth everywhere, and the sacred power can be called any time and any place by believers.
Some people say that odd compass readings are proof of the energy of vortexes and others say Electromagnetic Field Meters will measure the frequencies to prove a vortex is present. Birds and cats can detect vortexes, according to some people, and some people say they have witnessed birds become disoriented due to the energy of the vortexes. The number one form of evidence that vortexes are real is the personal stories people tell when they have had spiritual experiences at these especially powerful places. Not everybody has the same experience at a vortex, but if you have felt an especially powerful spiritual awakening at one, that’s real no matter what some people might say.
How to Use Vortexes
While plenty of people offer tours, classes, and private spiritual counseling sessions all designed to help you unlock the power of a vortex, there is a way you can do this all on your own. Some spiritual experts say you will not receive the gifts of energy that a vortex offers until you are ready, and then the energy will automatically come to you. Each of us has our own way of spiritually opening ourselves, and the energy of the vortex will automatically understand that you are ready. One way is to quietly visualize your aura, or energy body completely opening to the energy of the vortex, and in your heart, simply tell the energy “Come”. Some people will fast, do a sweat lodge, or other prayers or ritual purification before they open themselves to experience the vortex's power, and you will know intuitively what you need to do to prepare yourself.
How Can Vortexes Help You?
Vortexes are believed to exist in their own right by some, and others believe the vortexes were divinely created to heal the earth and all her creatures. They can help open your awareness to psychic phenomena and promote clearer communication with spirits. They can help you to see what changes you need to become a better version of yourself, and they can reveal hidden spiritual truths. Some people claim that they can make you feel rejuvenated, and they naturally allow your body to heal itself. Vortexes can bring you closer to the essence of the creator and help you to see how all life is miraculously connected. Vortexes can help to change your life permanently, and once you have experienced the mystical changes the vortexes provide, you might go back time and again for this spiritual renewal.
