Paying attention to how each individual behaves, what triggers them, and what makes them back down, however, is just as important as trying to get positive energy worked into the communications. Are Aries controlling? Leo
It can be a bit more difficult to redirect a Leo when they start being manipulative. This is because they see themselves as the king or queen of their world, and if you are not doing all they expect, you must be punished. They do this by talking your ear off, informing you of all the things you have done wrong, and laying a massive guilt trip on you of how you are ruining their day/week/year/life and if you REALLY cared, you would do this one teeny tiny little thing to please them. Leos can act very spoiled when they feel like it, but they are also one of the most loyal signs in the zodiac, so if they really care about you, all you have to do is sit them down for a rational talk once they have thrown the millionth fit if you are refusing to allow them to control you. Sagittarians can be so charming that you might even realize they are being manipulative. Earth Signs
Earth signs are stubborn, set in their ways, bull headed, and think they are always right. They want people to do what they tell them to because they believe they have the best way of doing things worked out, and if you disagree, trying to point out a better way, they will, at best think you are refusing to listen and at worst think you are being insubordinate. Either way, they are going to do all they can to try and get you to do as they say, and they might get angry with you for resisting. Taurus
Taurus people may not specifically get up in the morning and say to themselves, “How can I have complete control of everybody around me?”, however, it seems they operate that way for the rest of their day sometimes. If you live together, they are usually the man or woman of the house, and if you work together, they usually seem to have a great way of managing to make sure things go the way they want it to. They can be impossible to reason with once they have made up their minds, and a total pain in the rear end to deal with. If you first listen respectfully, your Taurus will notice this and appreciate it and it will make them more likely to listen to what you have to say once they finish speaking. Virgo
A Virgo man controlling projects is not an unusual thing. They are excellent organizers, planners, and hard workers, so a lot of people recognize that and put them in charge. This is true on the job and in personal relationships as well. They spend a lot of time researching and planning based on their research, and they don’t finalize things until they feel confident that they have found the best way of putting things together. This is all good and well until there are other people who are involved who disagree with the Virgo’s way of doing things, and if you are the one who disagrees, the first thing they do is tell you how wrong you are and that it does not matter what you say, everything is going to be all their way and there is nothing anybody can do about it. They might even go so far as to tell you that nobody would agree with you anyways so you should just give up.

Prove them wrong- but do not, under any circumstances do it in front of anybody and don’t do it in a way that would make them look bad. They will admit they were wrong, but they don’t want anybody to know it. Capricorn
Is a Capricorn man controlling? A Capricorn can be as controlling as any other sign, and when they are, they make sure to let you know they feel it is because they have some form of superior qualities that make them naturally more capable to decide everything than you are. They may feel they are smarter, make more money and you should thus accept their authority, or they may even say it is because they are such a great friend to you that you have to do every last thing that they expect of you.
There is literally one way to get out from under their control when this starts, and it starts by saying one word. That word is “No.” No amount of explaining will get a Capricorn to back down once they decide to act controlling and you are just going to have to stick to your guns and flat out tell them they will not get their way. It might make them throw a fit as bad as an angry Taurus would, but the answer is still simply “No.” They may come around at some point in the future once they have calmed down, but in the meantime, you have to do what is best for you, and saying “No” to being controlled might be more important than appeasing your Capricorn.
Air Signs
Speaking of stubborn, Air signs can be just as stubborn as Earth signs, but they do something different as well. Air signs will enact consequences if you don’t do things the way they expect. If they feel like you are arguing, they won’t continue the conversation, and they don’t have an issue informing everybody else about what they feel you did wrong. They may also withhold information if they don’t want you to know everything, most especially if they are in the position that they have to mediate, and they might take it upon themselves to mediate even if they were not asked to.
Gemini
While your Gemini might not make you think they are controlling, and they can act very easy going, sometimes they do act controlling too. They can be very dishonest when they want to be, and they can be very hurtful in their words when they feel like it. If they are mad at you, they may say outrageous things like “I don’t love you anymore” or they might even lie and tell you that you never do anything to help them, but you just take and take and take. All these things they say when they are being controlling are done to try and break you emotionally into bending to their will. You don’t have to, though.
Simply call their bluff. If they say they don’t love you, tell them you should break up, and see how fast they start to backpedal. If they accuse you of being lazy and never helping them, remind them of all you have recently done for them and suggest that they become more independent. Geminis are very intellectual signs and can throw out harsh words, but don’t like for people to say things that upset them. Libra
Like Geminis, Librans can come across as very easy-going people, and Librans can be as charming and as fun as Sagittarians. They can act like little, if anything offends them, and that little upsets them at all- until they lose control of their emotions- and it will be your job to fix everything. Or is it?
If a Libra starts fussing over some small thing, and demands you do something else instead, if you don’t want to, just look them in the eye and flat out tell them you are so sorry that upset them, but they are being irrational, and you will be happy to talk to them once they have cooled off. Aquarius
High energy Aquarians are always on the go, doing amazing things that nobody can do in quite the ways they can. They stay so busy and focused on all the interesting things they do, they can forget that sometimes friends are friends, and our friends are not required to be their unpaid staff who assist them with all the projects they crank out. They may start dishing out orders to anybody who is around and expect everybody to drop everything and follow their directions to the tiniest detail. Just be aware that the way you say no to them matters more than you think it does. Explain why you will not help, but don’t disrespect what they are asking you to do or criticize them for it. You are better off telling them you would LOVE to do what they expect, but either do not have the ability or cannot make the time. Offer to do something else they want you to. They will appreciate you still staying onboard to help with all their crazy fun things, and they will know you have to step aside from some things sometimes and they won’t feel upset. Water Signs
Water signs react emotionally and use various different ways to try and be in control. They may cry or guilt trip you in an attempt to get their way and they might give you the silent treatment, or completely disappear, and ghost you. They might scream and yell, and it’s not above them to outright lie sometimes. They are as good as Air signs at withholding information, and they are as passionate as Fire signs.
Cancer
How can a Cancer control their emotions when they are busy using their emotions to try and control you? Not all Cancerians are control freaks, but when they are, watch out. They are masters at letting you know every single thing you have ever done to wrong them when they get upset, and they will use this as leverage to try and manipulate you into doing whatever it is that they want. They will cry, and fuss all they want, and you will be expected to be still and listen to everything they have to say, but they don’t want you to say one word back unless you are apologizing or telling them you will give them their way.
However, you don’t necessarily have to give in. You can simply look them in the eye when they start behaving this way and say, “We are not doing this,” and refuse to be drawn in. You can also let them finish complaining, and then list to them all the things they have done wrong as well. They won’t like this but reminding them that they are no more perfect than you are can take the emotional control away from them, and balance the conversation better.
Scorpio
Are Scorpios controlling? They certainly can be, and when they are being controlling, they will try to be crafty about it, but they are not as good at disguising the fact they are being manipulative as they would like to think they are. They expect their so-called authority to be honored and don’t want any insubordination. They can be very focused on whatever it is they are doing, and they have an amazing drive they use to work towards meeting goals. If their goal is to get you to do something, they will stop at nothing until they reach that goal, however, if you feel they are being controlling, you can stop them.
Talk directly to them and flat out tell them you are not going to give in to them but be prepared they will keep working to try and get things their way and will behave as if nothing will deter them. Pisces
Are Pisces controlling? They can be, and when they are being controlling, what they will often control is information. They may withhold the whole truth about things, and they might disappear into thin air for weeks or months at a time and act genuinely insulted when you flat out tell them they flaked out on you. They may feel like they have to do this to recharge their batteries, but sometimes, they are out doing things they know you would not tolerate, so they do it behind your back, so they won’t have to deal with the consequences.
You can take control back by confronting them once you discover what they have been doing behind your back and make it clear that they can’t fool you anymore. Once you are aware of the things that they have been hiding from you, their secret is out, and they can’t get by with doing those things behind your back anymore.
